About
Why settle for the rest when FRESH is the BEST?
Four Beans is an 1800 sq ft shop with a comfortable atmosphere, exceptional service and products second to none. The front half of the shop has very comfortable seating area to include leather chairs, marble lamps and coffee table, fireplace and big screen TV, plus our cupping table. The other half has tables and chairs and a bar area for WI-FI users. The roaster has a bar around it to enable customers to watch the roasting. We roast with a Diedrich IR-7 capable of roasting up to 15 lbs. We also have an afterburner which heats up to 1400 degrees to eliminate any pollution. The automator helps the Roast master in creating profiles and roasting to the profiles to ensure consistency in our brews.
Our Story
This concept started over 4 years ago when Barb and I went to Cedarburg, Wisc. with some friends. While in the car we were talking about a name for the coffeehouse. Since there were four of us in the car and one name started with an “F” and the other 3 with “B”'s, I said why not Four Beans and well… there ya' go. Gavin, a life long friend of Barb's, came into the picture sometime later when he and Barb were talking on the phone and Gavin was looking to open a coffee kiosk. Well, I got on the phone with him and we started a plan (Gavin has since gone on to other ventures). I knew that we had to take a different approach to our shop if we wanted to be successful. The roaster was going to give us one edge, serving whole tea, French pressed with a cup and saucer was another. Offering any of our coffees in a French press was another along with baking pastries every day. After many setbacks, lots of money, tears, and worry, we managed to open on the 26 th of January, 2007. Without the help of neighbors and friends we would have never made it and there were many a day that I was not sure if we could. I learned there's a big difference in your life when you OWN the business.
